With such a diversity of style choices in the kitchen, it is more and more difficult to characterize a kitchen’s particular style. We are noticing designer’s and homeowner’s tendency towards mixing 2 distinct styles in one workspace. One of our favorite applications of contrasting styles is Modern and Rustic. We find this look works so well as modern elements and simple cut lines keep the workspace clean and logical, whereas the rustic adds a personalized, homey touch to the atmosphere.
We love the contrast of warm toned wood against cool, industrial elements. The variety of textures in a mixed style kitchen adds great depth to the aesthetic value of the kitchen. What do you think of mixing modern and rustic styles in one workspace? Which kitchen styles would you choose to mix?
