When a Home Improvement Contract is signed between a consumer and a contractor, it is very important that the Contractor have 3 types of Insurance Protection to safeguard the homeowner. General Liability Insurance protects against property damage, bodily injury or medical costs associated with same. Auto Insurance protects in the case of damage caused by a truck or auto belong to the workers on the job site. Workmans Compensation Insurance covers any injuries or medical issues incurred by workers or employees at the job site. Without the above type of insurances, the homeowner could incur total liability.
