Excellent cooktop completed our KitchenAid appliance upgrade to our home. We love the ‘Ultra Heat’ feature on the large burner. Allows for a large pot of water to boil in under five minutes.

KitchenAid cooktop installed 6 months ago recalled due to fire hazard. This model was offered as a replacement. Whirlpool has a contract with JB Hunt to deliver and install but reviews for that company are not good. Whirlpool would not ship new cooktop to distributor where I purchased recalled model or local dealer of my choice. From a customer service standpoint, the recall/replace process is inflexible and suboptimal. New model arrived with one slightly bent burner control knob. Less than impressed with Whirlpool and the product.

In 2004, we remodeled our kitchen and added a KitchenAid 30" glass cooktop. That unit worked perfectly for 15 years until we had a kitchen disaster that wiped out all of the cabinets, the granite countertop, the KitchenAid cooktop and everything else. So when it came time to pick out a new unit, we just chose another 30" KitchenAid glass cooktop. And why not, the last one was fantastic! This new one looks like it is an even better updated design than the first one, so I am sure we will be happy with it for many years to come.

We bought this item for our kitchen remodel and so far we are loving it! It was super easy to install, heats up fast and is simple to use. The knobs are great and this makes such a stylish addition to our new kitchen. We've already received a lot of compliments on it!
