Our new cooktop was just what we wanted. It works just like we expected. We enjoy the continuous grate and the ability to control the simmer. It is easy to clean and keep it looking like new.

This is a well designed appliance. The larger burner puts out a lot of heat (?20,000 BTU) and the simmer function works extremely well. The grates are well designed so one can slide a pot from burner to burner as necessary. The only issue I have with the appliance is that moving the gas knobs almost 50% is required to lower the flame. The flame does lower nicely, but there is al lot of play in the first 50% without any impact on the flame. This has not been an issue, and overall we are very satsfied with the product. It was insrtalled with a new downdraft vent and matches it perfectly. I would recommend this cooktop without reservation .

This is the first negative review I have ever written. The flames are uneven and 1 hisses. The technician to adjust the burners has been scheduled to arrive Feb25 - 8 weeks since we reported the problem. The finish on the grates has eroded since the first pan was put on them and continues to rub off. (See attached photo.) The openings on the grate are so large, 2 small sauce pans fell through and cannot be used. One minor complaint - grate is so high it takes extra time for pans to heat.

The appearance is very nice. The grate is a disaster. Small pots fall through and slightly larger pots often tip. The grate is so high it takes an inordinate amount of time for pots to heat. The grates showed soil immediately and are hard to clean. The center burner is so far back it is clumsy to use. The flames are uneven. The appliance store where I bought it made an appointment for Bosch to come and adjust them on January 25. Except for appearance, the 54-year old cooktop I replaced was much better.
