After 18 years of service it was time to replace all the kitchen appliances. Due to the down draft feature we were left with only 2 choices, and KitcheAid was chosen. This cooktop is a modern replacement to our older unit. Its design lends to easier cleanup, but other than that there is little difference in the "function" of the unit. Still it looks good and fires up quickly.

I read a few reviews were people said the downdraft was very strong and it pulled the flames down! Well I’ll tell you that wasn’t the case with mine! Mine looks great and works perfectly fine no complaints here!

This is a very recent purchase. I am very pleased with moving to a gas cooktop. It performs so much better that my previous electric. And it is beautifully designed.
