I bought this dishwasher for its ADA features and its ability to turn itself off when there is a water leak. I like the extra features such as the water softener with its warning light when you need to refill the salt, and the warning light when you need to refill the rinse aid. One problem, which is common to many modern dishwashers is that the dishes often come out with a dirty smell, even though they look and feel clean. I am assuming that is because not enough water is used to wash the dishes in the first place, and not enough water is used to rinse the dishes afterwards. I have found the only way to combat this is to run the rinse cycle both before and after the wash cycle. This seems to control the bad small, but I still end up with smelly plates every now and again. It usually if I forge to do the extra rinses. So, "water saving" might mean energy efficiency, but it does not mean cleaner dishes. Another problem I have with this dishwasher is the very strange way it has of stacking dishes. Its just not very helpful. The only things that stack well are plates and regular sized cups and mugs. Put anything else in there, bowls, saucepans, and so on, everything is very awkward. One thing missing in the ADA version here is the full-size rack for utensils. So, utensils are a bit difficult in this machine too. Strangefly, there are a whole bunch of accessories that can be bought, which I found to be useful for their intended purpose.

After having 2 dishwashers by other manufacturers we settled on the Bosch ADA Dishwasher to fit our space. With great surprise and much pleasure to our ears this dishwasher is very, very quiet. We laugh when we check ourselves to see if we started it because we don't even know it is running! Although it is an ADA model it holds a lot, and the washing/drying mechanics of the machine is awesome. Everything comes our clean and dry. I also like the on/off button (an energy saver) which none of our other machines had. This is the best diswasher we've bought thus far. Don't hesitate to buy it if it is appropriate for your kitchen. I give it a thumbs up!
