Only just installed this machine. I can tell you that if you don’t have any kind of DIY know how, have a pro install this for you. There’s no YouTube videos that cover the issues you may run into while setting this up. Aside from the three issues we encountered but overcame eventually, the installation was complete within the day (we have old house with copper line and replacing existing installation made it tricky - that was 2 of the three challenges). The one issue I have with GE is the lack of clear instructions and poor image quality. Example of this is the plastic/rubber flats that you install on the top and both sides of the tub. It’s not imperative to use them, but the way it is instructed to install them is wildly unclear. We’d run all the pre-use tests which is very important to do for checking leaks, function (water fills and drains) and electrical is all good. Once completed we ran two loads back to back with the last two days of not having access to the kitchen sink because the water was off. So far? Machine works well. Quiet, even without the kick plate being installed (want to look for leaks for a couple cycles). The controls are responsive but the piano gloss finish will easily get scratched up from general use. I do t know why manufacturers can’t figure out good looks and durable finishes by now it’s 2022!!! We like the features and flexibility the unit offers, but it’s just too early to tell if this DW will deliver. That’s the problem inherent in reviews. Maybe we’ll check back at 180 and 360 days. See how it goes.
