Born into a legacy of home improvement, Eric Schultheis is a third-generation professional in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry. His family's business, started by his grandfather and later run by his father, laid the foundation for his 15-year career before he moved to Virginia upon getting married.
Originally from Western Pennsylvania, Eric's early aspiration was to become an architect, inspired by the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright. However, realizing the practical realities of the profession led him to discover his true passion in kitchen design. Growing up in middle-class neighborhoods and working in high-end homes hundreds of years old, he was exposed to a myriad of styles and designs, enriching his design perspective.
Eric values the importance of listening to his customers over imposing his own style. He believes in understanding the client's desires, making informed suggestions, and providing options to help them think beyond their comfort zones. His goal is to design kitchens that not only meet but exceed client expectations, ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal.
With a natural knack for spatial awareness and 3D visualization, Eric excelled in tasks that required intricate planning and organization from a young age. This skill translates into his ability to tackle challenging kitchen designs, optimizing space efficiently.
Despite being an introvert, Eric thrives in one-on-one interactions, learning about his clients' diverse cooking styles and needs. He finds immense satisfaction in seeing the joy on their faces when their new kitchen comes to life.
Eric stays current with industry trends by subscribing to trade magazines from Kitchen and Bath associations, as well as consumer magazines focused on home design. He actively explores online platforms like Pinterest and Houzz for inspiration and reads manufacturer information to keep up with the latest products and innovations. While he personally favors clean and modern designs, Eric's flexibility allows him to work across various design styles to meet his clients' needs. His commitment to understanding and delivering on his clients' visions makes him a standout professional in the kitchen and bath design industry.
