With over 15 years of experience in kitchen and bath design in the DC area, I bring a unique blend of expertise and passion to every project. My journey began in real estate in North Carolina, where I attended real estate school. Seeking new opportunities, I moved to the DC area, initially falling into staging before discovering my true passion for cabinetry design.
Growing up in a small town in North Carolina, I naturally gravitated towards farmhouse style. However, my move to the DC area broadened my horizons, and I have since embraced modern design elements. This combination of traditional and contemporary influences allows me to create versatile and stylish spaces that cater to a wide range of tastes.
For me, the most important aspect of any project is functionality. I strive to understand my clients' needs and ensure that the design not only meets their aesthetic preferences but also works seamlessly for their lifestyle in the long term. I view cabinets as creative building blocks, much like Legos, and enjoy the challenge of customizing them to fit perfectly into any space.
What drives me in this career is the opportunity to meet new people and collaborate closely with them. Being invited into clients' homes and helping to bring their ideas to life is incredibly rewarding. Each project is unique, and the ever-changing nature of the work keeps it exciting and fulfilling.
I am also deeply engaged with the latest trends and innovations in the industry. I stay up-to-date by following brands on social media, reading kitchen and bath magazines, and continuously researching new products and styles. One of my favorite design elements is the traditional DC row home style, which I love to modernize with classic touches like subway tiles and my perennial favorite, white Carrara marble countertops.
My approach to design is both creative and client-focused, ensuring that each space is not only beautiful but also functional and tailored to the specific needs of the homeowner. I look forward to bringing my expertise and passion to your next kitchen or bath project, creating a space that you will love for years to come.
