I graduated with a degree in Kitchen and Bath Design from Virginia Tech and am accredited by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. My passion for design drives my commitment to creating beautiful and functional spaces that enhance my clients' daily lives.
Originally from Guam and raised in a military family, I have lived in various homes, which instilled in me a deep appreciation for functionality and efficient storage. This background influences my design philosophy, ensuring that every element of a kitchen or bathroom is easily accessible and practical. I believe that a well-designed space should eliminate the frustration of searching through cabinets for what you need.
Understanding the client's pain points is my top priority. Whether it’s a lack of storage or insufficient countertop space, I focus on addressing these issues in my preliminary designs. This ensures that the final product not only meets but exceeds client expectations. For compact kitchens, I strategically place essential items like sinks and appliances to maximize remaining cabinetry and countertop space, incorporating the most functional and efficient accessories.
What excites me most about my work is the transformation process. Seeing a space evolve from its original state to a beautifully redesigned area is incredibly rewarding. I especially enjoy the moment when clients start to see their vision come to life, typically when cabinetry is installed and countertops are in place.
To stay updated on the latest trends and innovations, I regularly check notifications from NKBA, browse Pinterest, and explore various design websites. I am a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural style, particularly his use of clean lines and functionality as seen in Fallingwater. His principles of simplicity and flexibility, such as those found in Shaker cabinets, inspire my own design approach.
