We purchased this microwave to go above our new dual-fuel Kitchenaid range. Very disappointed when 1 yr and 3 months in it began malfunctioning. Called Kitchenaid and they covered the repair (door switch malfunction). Good as new and very happy with performance and customer service.

I bought this because I really liked the look and it matches my dishwasher. The cost was quite a bit more than others but hopefully it will last as long as my last microwave (20 years!) and will be worth the price. It doesn’t heat as fast as my old one or I would have given it 5stars.

I'm surprised at how much I like my new Kitchenaid microwave. Things I like the most: the time display is bright and easy to read; the 30 second button which you can push for each 30 second interval of cook time; the handle is substantial and doesn't show finger prints, the dark gray interior with good lighting; the chime when cooking is finished; preprogrammed settings such as defrost, etc. If you are looking for a new microwave this one is a winner!

I love the looks of this oven, and the built-in functions. One thing I really like is the clear glass in the door. Now I can look in and easily see inside when something is cooking. That's great when there is a chance something might boil over. Maybe it's silly, but I also like the cute little doodle-de-do noise it makes when the time is up.
