We did our homework over multiple places and multiple brands, every single time we ended up back at kitchenaid, glad we did.

The appliance is working fine, but I have to agree with some other reviews that the manual is next to useless....In convect...metal or no metal? Roast Vs Bake??? What is it doing???

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, unless you are psychic. We just bought it and discovered that the users guide and instructions that come with it are essentially worthless. There is no detailed manual tha identifies the features of the oven and how to use them. For example, when you press the defrost button, it brings up 4 presets (to defrost meat, bread, etc.) There is no apparent way to defrost manually, say for example to defrost a Healthy choice meal. If there is, the User Guide DOESN'T SAY. I contacted Kitchenaide chat support and all they did was tell me that the user guide is all there is. We are deeply disappointed. Same problemk with the matching dishwasher.

Great overall, but some unnecessary complexity

This unit is high quality and performs well. However, in day-to-day use, a lot of button pushing is required to activate basic functions. For example, turning the vent hood on and off requires a minimum of 6 button pushes. Manually setting the convection oven to 425 degrees requires navigation through a menu structure and 11 button pushes. My older microwave/vent hood was not as capable, but most functions could be accessed with 1-2 button pushes. I miss that simplicity.

Was unhappy that my Jenn Air microwave/convection lasted only 7 years with minimal useage. Delighted with my Kitchen Aid microwave/convection. Both microwave and convection work well, cost less than previous oven and looks great!
