We have had this about a year. Ice maker has been worked on 6? times. Never fixed. The last time he replaced the panel. First time we went to get ice it dispensed water out the water instead of the ice. No cup there. Cleaned that up. Called for another service. Left for 20 mins. Our daughter got home to a giant puddle on the floor. Hard wood ruined. We turned the water off to the refrigerator and now it started spewing water with no one there again.

In all of its infinite wisdom, Kitchenaid made a beautiful large refrigerator/freezer for a large family, and out in an ice maker that can’t even support a family of two. If you buys the appliance and have a family of 4 or more who uses ice regularly, be prepared to have to buy and additional counter top ice maker as this unit only creates a few cubes at a time and can’t keep up with even basic use.

Handle broke within 2 weeks of delivery

The freezer handle broke off at 2 weeks! I am a 63 year old and my sister is 58, both of us have medical issues that diminishes our strength, so it was not our fault! I called Kitchenaid and they sent the WRONG part AND...told us that they would NOT pay to have the new handle installed! I had to wait almost a month and the private store I purchased the refrigerator finally sent the repairman and the correct part to install. In the mean time, the other side of the handle twisted and scratched the paint on the door. And of course, Kitchenaid will not pay to fix this. I am very disappointed in their service as well as the quality of this appliance. PS...it is very noisy!
