Clay and sediment buster
by HammerSlinginMom

I have a well with horrible water that includes high clay and sulfur content. I have a UF filter already, which works great! But, my sulfur pretreatment is getting bogged down with clay and sediment so I installed a prefilter and throw these filters in, which has made a huge difference in reducing the amount of sediment making it into my expensive water system. I change these about weekly or biweekly and I have never noticed a chemical odor from these. You can see in the photo all of the grit and clay that was caught after two weeks of use. I need to do a bit more upgrading yet, but this is buying me time for sure.
