Purchased quantity 2 - GE GVS04BDWSS for my new wet bar 14 months ago. The first beverage center failed a week ago. Before I could contact an appliance repair shop and approximately 8 days later the second beverage center failed. Both systems run they just can't cool below 52 degrees (set for 41). They were both installed the same time. Compressor runs but extremely hot. Fan runs, light works just doesn't cool.

We updated all the appliances in our home and chose this small beverage fridge based on recommendations from the salesman from Home Depot. They did not have a floor model and our main requirement was based on fitting in the existing spot and black. We had a preference for GE since previous unit was one. This unit is super loud. Loud enough for it to be heard in every room, of our house. Our home is pretty big and it can still be heard everywhere. During the day it is not as noticeable due to other things going on but is very noticeable at night. Turns out that is normal for this model. We were also told the shelves were adjustable. They are not. That is our fault for not verifying before purchasing but was definitely disappointing to learn. You can remove the shelves but they are set at fixed heights and no other slots are available to change shelf size.

Installation was quick and easy. It looks great mounted. It was a little bit noisy when running but the main issue was within 13 months, it stopped cooling. I only used it for wine chilling so temp was set at 58 degrees and not pushing too much the compressor. After calling GE support, I was disappointed to hear it had just been out of the warranty preiod and for a repairman to show up I had to pay $120. I would have expected more from a GE appliance, one of the main reasons why I decided to buy this wine fridge.

It’s a good looking mini fridge. It’s a little loud. We also thought it was counter height but it’s 2 inches short. I had to make a stand
