I want to express mine and my wife’s appreciation for the nice outcome of granite countertops which were installed in our kitchen recently. It was “retro fit” where we replaced an aged butcher block top while keeping the old cabinets. We’ve got an old house, and our hanging on the old cabinets did not make the job ideal. That said, I want to tell you that you, and the entire group of people who worked on our project, did a fine job.

I especially want to thank Bray & Scarff’s Dan White. He is a true asset to your company. He is very professional, and takes it to heart when he oversees installation. He truly “looks out for the customer”.

The people at Counter Intelligence deserve credit, also. Becky and Jason shepherded us through a couple of trips at their facility where we selected the piece of granite that was cut for our kitchen. They both were patient and supportive. Hien along with Carlos and his crew did a good job measuring and installing the new counter tops. The finished work is attractive, and has been praised by our friends and family who have visited our home.

I don’t often feel compelled to write a recommendation letter, but the work that Dan White performed at my home on April 22nd was impressive. It’s two weeks later and not one problem, issue or concern has arisen. He succinctly managed the appliance installs while a new countertop was installed too. His knowledge, advice and efforts to keep me informed throughout the day made the process seem quite easy.

Even in those situations where it was really someone else’s responsibility (i.e. electrician’s and granite installers), Luis seemed to be the one to take charge, ensuring that things were done correctly and expeditiously. His carpentry skills are admirable and his problem solving skills are amazing.

My wife and I could not be more pleased with the result of having remodeled the kitchen. It looks absolutely beautiful! And we attribute almost all of the success to the “hands on” approach and application of Luis.

-To Whom It May Concern:

Mr. Nunoz was the head installer for my Bray & Scarff kitchen renovation from January 2nd until February 9th.

Mr. Nunoz takes great pride in his skilled craftsmanship to do finish carpentry work that suits the kitchen design. The cabinet corners meet perfectly; the moldings were carefully cut and placed with care. The outcome was most professional.

He also organized the sequential deliveries and arrival times for the other workmen. This was done in a most professional manner. I live in a co-op so deliveries, etc. are more complicated.

There was an effort to make sure that I, the customer, was happy with the progress and timely successful outcome of the renovation.

I was very satisfied.


Delivered yesterday - EXCELLENT installation by a very knowledgeable  installer (Jaime) and at first blush a very niffy new appliance.   No Corian cut necessary - please credit my account for $125   Will be in the store looking for a new microwave - 30"   Thanks for everything from a very satisfied customer.

-We'd like to thank Bray and Scarff for the service from the installer who was just here (8/1/08).  We did not get his name.  When he went to install the dishwasher he spotted a rusted pipe from the disposal.  It broke with a light touch and would have flooded very soon.

The plumbing company we've used for ten years (Shipley) was here yesterday for a problem in another part of the house.  We had him look at the plumbing change needed for the dishwasher.  He did not notice that pipe.

The Bray & Scarff installer had a pipe in the truck and was able to fix it quickly.

I don't write letters very often, but felt compelled to write this one due to the very pleasant experience my wife and I had in dealing with Bray and Scarff recently.  We came to your store last Saturday, January 12th, 2008 and in a very short time, with your help, felt we knew which model of dishwasher we were looking for and purchased it.  We have purchased a washer and dryer from your store before and have shopped at discount stores in the past, never receiving either the wisdom or installation quality from any other store.  We are now converts and we will be purchasing our new oven and other kitchen appliances from you.

I particularly need to comment on your installation service.  I believe our installer's name was Jeremy - he called prior to his arrival, and came right when you said he would. He removed the old dishwasher, installing the new one within about 30-minutes.  He was neat, cleaned up after himself and gave us instruction on the operation. He answered questions and explained the differences in the new dishwasher systems and advised on the on-going care.  I couldn't have been more impressed.

If you ever need a reference for a customer on the edge of purchasing a system from your store versus the same item from a discount store, I would be happy to give a reference.  I felt a certain comfort in seeing a clean Bray and Scarff truck drive up as opposed to a beat-up old van with a fellow we could barely understand who had likely been hired by the subcontractor the week before.  Your installation was more professional than just about any other we have had in years (except from your store) and the product exactly what you said it would be.  Thank you for a very satisfactory purchase experience,

We recently purchased a GE Profile double oven electric range and a GE Profile space-maker microwave from your store.  I just wanted to express our appreciation for Tim Heron and for how smooth and uneventful our purchase process was.  (Believe me, it could have been worse--last fall we purchased a fridge, dishwasher, and freezer from a big-box competitor of yours and had a mess of a time. It ended favorably but it was almost six weeks of drama and back-and-forth.)  

I was especially impressed by some of the little things Tim did:

- He sent us by email a scanned image of the invoice.  This will save me time as I compile electronic records of our home inventory.
- He sent us by snail mail a packet of forms ready to sign and send in order to get our delivery rebate and GE Profile rebate.  He had highlighted areas of the forms that I needed to address and he included additional copies of the invoice.  This made for a pretty painless process in submitting our rebate requests.

Please express our gratitude to Tim and to your entire staff for such a great experience.

Could you tell me how deep the wall needs to be to accommodate the GE 30" single wall oven and also for the GE 30" Advantium? Builder needs that info.

-I recently had occasion to purchase a Bosh washer and dryer.   There were some installation issues that had to be overcome.   The units, which were replacing existing units, were going into a confined area in a closet of a condo.  I just want to say that the salesman, Mike Pytel (# 216) in the Cockeysville store, made this a very easy experience.   He was helpful, knowledgeable,  and followed through with my various requests.  I will not hesitate to recommend him to others because of my positive experience.

Well I have my new washer and dryer.  They are lovely.  I did a lot of laundry over the weekend.  I will have to get used to the front loader.  I stand there watching it because I don't see water, etc. Roger and his installation partner were delightful.   They did the job quickly and competently with no complaints (There are a "few" stairs).

I am writing to let you know how pleased I am with Bray and Scarff.  You were a friendly and knowledgeable sales associate.  You educated me without trying to oversell me.  I was in and out of the store in ½ hour.  Better still, the delivery guys were there at 8:45 the next morning and out in less than 30 minutes.  (I believe the lead guy was Roger?).  The team was polite and competent.  They even swept my basement floor!  For a moment I thought the machine wasn’t working because it was so quiet; my old one sounded like the Dulles runway.

On 4/29/09, I purchased a GE front load washer from you.  Until this time, all though I badly needed a new washer, I couldn't face the thought of another delivery nightmare.  I had been filling my old washer with a hose bib as no one could figure out why cold water wouldn't work.
 
To make old machine work, I had to listen to fill ups so washer wouldn't overflow.  Well, it overflowed one time too many.  I saw your ad in Sunday paper and got over to your Sterling store.
 
Your manager, Jim Arata, was most helpful as a front loader was new to me.   Besides the washer working wonderfully, the two delivery men were most courteous, helpful, and in and out with old machine in minutes.
 
Nothing broken, spilled, upset in any way.  It was the best delivery I've had to my home in 40 years!  Give those nice gentlemen a raise!

    I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for a great experience.  We originally worked with Jae Parks back in October when we purchased all of the appliances for our kitchen renovation.  He was very helpful, and we were very pleased.  It wasn't until the delivery date in January that we found we had a problem.  If you don't recall the issues we had, I'm sure Randy Evans can fill you in.  I know you were consulted several times.  I just want to commend you, and especially Randy for how the situation was handled.  I was really between a rock and a hard place with the frig because all of my cabinets had been built to make it appear built-in, so when we found we weren't ever getting the frig we thought was back ordered, I panicked a bit.  It was certainly no fault of Bray & Scarff that the black was discontinued, and quite honestly, it has taken me a while to get used to the idea of stainless, I'm not a fan, but overall, I am so happy with our shopping experience.  I truly want to commend and thank Randy.  He was super handling a problem that wasn't his to handle.  Jae was lucky to have been in training this week.  I wanted to be sure to let you know when the experience was positive.  So often, managers only hear complaints.  Having a problem is not an issue.  It's how the problems are solved.  You get an A++  thank you!
