The dryer, from day 1, was defective. A total of six parts needed replacement. It took two months just to get all of the parts installed and tested.

Overall I am pretty happy with the dryer. It dries clothes very well and there is not much to a dryer overall. The build quality is better than most dryers on the market and can especially be felt in the door area. For the price and "commercial build" I wish the drum would have had better bearings (roller bearings) like the Maytag commercial says it has. I think it would be quieter during rotation. Flipping the door to open from other direction was more difficult than it should have been. It is silly to have to move latch in the door. The instructions are also wrong on which direction to pull down/out on latch to remove.

We tried the new fancy washer and drier with all the options, we were very unhappy, this unit cleans so good, and is quite, if it not broken dont fix it . We love this unit
