Return Policy

At Bray & Scarff, our aim is to provide a 5-star experience for all our customers. However, we understand that there may be occasions when returning a major appliance becomes necessary due to factors like concealed damage, functional defects, or other reasons. To ensure a hassle-free return process, please follow the guidelines below:

Functional Defect:

If you experience a functional defect with your appliance within 7 days of its delivery, please contact your sales representative immediately. A functional defect refers to a fault or issue that hinders the proper working or performance of the appliance. Examples include the appliance not turning on, not functioning as intended, producing inadequate results, or having features and components that do not work properly. These defects can be a result of manufacturing errors, design flaws, wear and tear, or damage during handling or transportation. To initiate an exchange, a Bray & Scarff or manufacturer's repair technician will verify the functional defect (in writing) once it has been reported within the 7-day period. If the defect is not reported within this timeframe, the appliance will be repaired if it is covered by a manufacturer's warranty or service plan. For more details, please refer to the terms and conditions.

Concealed Damage:

If your new appliance has visible damage upon delivery, we kindly request that you refuse the delivery. By doing so, you will be eligible for a full refund or an exchange at no additional cost. However, if you decide to accept the damaged item, please make sure to note the issue on the delivery invoice before signing. For items with concealed damage that have not been installed, please report the issue within 7 days to initiate an exchange. To facilitate the exchange, the original item's packaging and packing materials will be required.

Other Returns:

For major appliances, you have the option to return them within 7 days of the delivery date. However, please note that a restocking fee of 20% and a pickup fee will be deducted from your refund. It's important to mention that special order items are non-refundable once they have been delivered or picked up. Furthermore, any service charges like delivery and installation fees will not be refunded once the service has been performed.

All cash or check refunds are processed by the Main Office and may take up to 14 days to receive by mail.

If payment is made by check, delivery of the title to the merchandise is subject to collection of the check. If this is a financed purchase, customer acknowledges that it is pursuant and subject to terms and conditions of the buyers Finance Agreement with seller.

Repair Notice

Please be advised, any product purchased without a service plan offered by Bray & Scarff, will be serviced and repaired by the manufacturer of the product during the manufacturer’s warranty period.

Pricing and Specifications

Errors in pricing and/or specifications may occur. We reserve the right to correct any such errors, up to and including cancelling any orders placed at an incorrect price.

30-Day Low Price Guarantee

We guarantee the best price up to 30 days after your purchase. If you find a current lower price on the identical item that is in-stock at a local retailer, we’ll match the price. Please provide a link to a website or other way for us to verify the discount.

Exclusions:

Delivery and installation services, parts, financing, service plans, tax savings, floor models, discontinued or refurbished items, pricing from membership-based retailers, mail-in rebates or any offer only available to a select group of customers, such as military, loyalty members or builders/remodelers are excluded. Select one-time-only promotions such as Black Friday and other special events may not apply. See store for details.

Delivery Terms and Instructions

Drop Off Delivery: Unit is dropped off at the home or business on the first level.

Delivery and Uncrate: Unit is dropped off at the home or business on the first level and includes uncrating of the appliances and removal of packaging debris.

Deliver and Install: The appliance is uncrated, set in its proper location, connected to utilities, and packing debris is removed.

Appliance Removal: Removal fees apply to each appliance being removed. Bray & Scarff will only disconnect and remove appliances that are being replaced and installed through Bray & Scarff. Removal of appliances that are being replaced using drop off delivery is available. The appliances that are being removed must be disconnected from all utilities by the customer.

Water Lines: Water line installation includes valve and new connection to refrigerator. Installation does not include refinishing any surface through which the water line is run. We do not connect to existing plastic water lines or plastic valves.

Door Removal: If a door of an appliance or home must be removed to get the unit to a specified location, additional fees may apply.

Field Measures: Bray & Scarff does not remove or disconnect appliances during field measures. Pricing from in-home field measures can take 2-3 business days to provide. Field measure fees are nonrefundable.

Unforeseen Conditions: Any unforeseen conditions may result in additional fees (including in-home field measured jobs).

Gas and Electrical Work: Any gas or electrical work needed to bring the utilities up to code may result in additional fees. All fuel conversions, whether natural or propane, must be completed at Bray & Scarff prior to delivery. Fuel conversions will not be performed in customer homes.

Drywall: Bray & Scarff does not patch or paint drywall resulting from utility work that we completed.

Cosmetic Warranty: Cosmetic issues must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

Stair Steps: Stair steps exceeding 8, or exceeding 5 for PRO appliances, will result in additional fees.

Difficult Entry: Additional fees may apply for difficult entry to a home including but not limited to; sharp grades, banks, ramps, limited access, stair lifts, railings that need removal, and narrow kitchen layouts.

Cabinetry and Stone Cuts: Cuts to cabinets or countertops will be unpolished/unfinished.

Appliance Removal Agreement

Appliance removal is done as a service to our customers and not as a profit-making function for Bray & Scarff and will only be done for appliances being replaced. Consequently, Bray & Scarff does not assume liability for damage to customers’ floors, carpets, or any other property resulting from dirt, water, oil, or any other foreign material or broken part or abnormal obtrusion in or on the appliance being removed. It is the customer’s responsibility to clean the old appliance or otherwise provide protection of carpets, floors, and other property. Bray and Scarff is not responsible for mechanical failures of appliances not purchased under this Sales agreement, moved as an accommodation to the customer, with or without consideration.

5 Year Extended Service Plan 100% Credit Back Option

If you do not use your extended service plan during the 5 year time period you will receive full credit for your warranty purchase price in the form of a Bray & Scarff in store credit. Credits are applied to our regular price and are valid 12 months after the expiration of the service plan.

3 Year Extended Service Plan 1/2 Credit Back Option

If you do not use your extended service plan during the 3 year time period you will will receive 1/2 credit for your warranty purchase price in the form of a Bray & Scarff in store credit.Credits are applied to our regular price and are valid for 12 months after the expiration of the service plan.
