Introducing KitchenAid’s Advanced ProDry™ system. Unlike the condensation feature found on other manufacturer’s dishwasher, the ProDry™ system uses a two-step process of a heated dry and condensation removal to completely remove moisture in the air. This combination system has been proven to be more effective than just condensation removal alone.

The recessed heating element found below the lower rack is able to adjust itself depending on the environment. During the drying process, the heating element automatically pulses on and off to heat the air to ensure proper drying. The humid air is then siphoned out of the dishwasher through a side duct and any condensation from the steam is collected and drained back into the dishwasher. The advanced feature uses a system of vents and fans both heat that both cools and mixes the air before exiting the dishwasher to avoid any damage to surrounding cabinetry and flooring.

The stainless steel walls provide an advantage to the drying process as it does not retain water as much as plastic. The exterior door is covered with a layer of mastic which helps to insulate and store heat during the cycle. Finally, it also acts as a sound barrier during the wash and dry process for a quieter, pleasant washing experience.
