As we wrap up the grilling season and say goodbye to summer backyard get-togethers, now is the time to get your patio ready for the cold weather.
With more time spent at home, it’s likely your grill has never seen as much action as it did in the Summer of 2020. Show it some appreciation by cleaning it properly to reduce any storage damage and be ready to deliver incredible BBQ that first sign of Spring. Heat up your grill to burn off any baked-on messes then scrub down the grates while it’s still warm. Once it has cooled, soak the grates in warm water and soap and then dry. Wipe down the rest of your grill, replace the grates, and keep covered under a waterproof covering and store in a dry place.
Summer had its moment with sparkling lemonades and tropical spritzers. With colder weather approaching, now is a great time to clean out your beverage center and stock it with your favorite hearty, fall-time drinks to snuggle up to your outdoor fire pit. Some suggestions include sparkling cider, ginger ale, red wines, cranberry orange mimosas, creamy caramel mocha, and anything else you need to create the perfect autumn beverage.
Keep our expensive patio furniture looking great by storing it properly during the harsh weather. Whether your patio is covered or not, your patio cushions and furniture can still be exposed to moisture that can cause damage and mold. If possible, keep cushions in a dry, indoor storage where mold and small rodents can’t access it and keep patio furniture covered in a waterproof casing.
While the falling leaves play a monumental part in the Fall season, they can also trap moisture and cause staining on cement patios and wood decks. Wet leaves can also quickly become a slipping hazard. Be sure to regularly sweep your patio during the cold weather to prevent both danger and damage to your patio.
Prepare for next Spring & Summer by shopping our selection of grills and beverage centers.
