Luxury appliances go beyond the expectations of conventional appliances. They bring professional touches that create an entire experience with every use. While it’s pretty simple to recognize the differences between high-end appliances and lower-end to midrange appliances, it can be slightly more difficult to tell the differences between two luxury appliances. Which one will last longer? Which one looks better? Which one provides a better experience? If you’re in the market for a luxury appliance, you’ve likely compared two different brands and models at similar price ranges and wondered which one will serve you best.
Wolf and Monogram are two high-end appliance brands with a reputation for delivering luxury appliances built from durable materials to last over 20 years with the performance and experience comparable to a professional kitchen. These two brands both feature professional series ranges that inspire culinary ambition and help you reach your full potential. If you’re in the market for a new luxury range, either of these brands is a great option. But if you really want to know which is best for you, we compare Wolf and Monogram ranges to help you make the right choice for your home and cooking style.
The Wolf cooking brand is part of Sub-Zero, an American family-owned company. What makes them unique from other appliance manufacturers is their individual focus in each category. Monogram, on the other hand, is part of the Haier company. Wolf is more popular with homeowners and designers while Monogram is more popular for builders. Wolf is known for their signature red nobs and Monogram is recognized by its brass knobs.
Wolf offers a few more sizes of ranges, including 30-inch, 36-inch, 48-inch, and 60-inch ranges. However, while Monogram has a smaller range of sizes, it does offer the most popular sizes of 36-inch and 48-inch ranges. Both are only available in premium stainless steel so at least your color options are simple.
Wolf offers dual-fuel, gas, and induction ranges while Monogram offers just dual-fuel and gas. Both give you an option for a griddle top but Wolf offers a French top which is a large burner in the middle of the cooktop that allows for varying temperatures. Monogram has an excellent output with up to 23,000 BTU while Wolf has up to 20,000 BTU. Wolf has a great simmer at low 300 BTUs for the best constant simmer, Monogram goes as low as 140 degrees. Monogram has single convection with a fan that changes speed to maintain a consistent temperature whereas Wolf uses the Verticross blower convection which uses more fans and allows for more even cooking.
Monogram has more smart capabilities, including Wi-Fi enabled Smart HQ that allows software updates, detectable service issues, and preprogrammed recipe selections. Wolf is also Wi-Fi enabled but doesn't have downloadable assets quite yet. It does feature preprogrammed recipe selections to help you achieve your culinary goals. While it will depend on the model comparison, Monogram is generally less expensive than its Wolf counterpart.
