If you are looking for a luxury refrigerator with all the latest features, and the sleekest design then look no further than the Bosch 800 series or Fisher & Paykel. Today we dive into a side-by-side comparison of the Bosch 800 Series French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator 36’’ and the Fisher & Paykel Freestanding French Door Refrigerator Freezer, 32.”

What's The Same?
These two refrigerators feature swinging French door refrigerator on top and a 2 pull-out drawer freezer below. Both refrigerators are cabinet depth, with hidden hinges and discreet feet, giving them them the built in l feel. As expected with high end appliances, the Bosch 800 and the Fisher & Paykel French door feature the latest bluetooth technology allowing you to remotely control your fridge’s temperature, or run diagnostics from afar. They even alert your phone if a door has been left ajar.

What's Different?
A significant difference between these two refrigerators is the storage capacity. The Bosch 800 French door has 36” width and 72” height and provides 21 cubic feet of storage space. Fisher & Paykel with 32” width and 70” height offers only 17 cubic feet,. What it lacks in size, FP makes up for in usable space. Rather than the standard 3 shelves spanning the full width of the refrigerator, F&P has 6 split adjustable shelves to accommodate your ever changing grocery supply. The Bosch 800 takes a different approach to usable space by replacing the top shelf with a FlexBar, featuring a split sliding shelf, a bottle rack and a shelf specifically design for egg storage. Additionally, Bosch features a full width chiller drawer to easily store oversized platters or quick access snacks.

While both appliances come in edge to edge stainless steel, their aesthetic varies. The Bosch 800 has no branding on the front, as well as a handle-less option, for a clean, sleek feel. The water dispenser for Bosch is located inside the French door on the left side. The Fisher & Paykel Freestanding has straight edge handles and an exterior ultra slim water dispenser, for quick access to filtered water.

Fisher & Paykel and Bosch each feature a 4-door system, but utilize the independent middle drawer in different ways. Bosch boasts a new FarmFresh system, to preserve food freshness including their VitaFreshPro sliding independent drawer. With specific settings for meat & fish, fruits, and vegetables, this technology controls temperature and humidity to perfectly keep food fresh for up to 3 times as long. Fisher & Paykel in contrast utilize their middle drawer as a second independent freezer, to streamline frozen food organization and easy access.
