Warm Stains For Your Kitchen Cabinets

Posted on October 12, 2019

All the beautiful leaves outside have us longing for some warm, rich colors in the kitchen. While some believe kitchen cabinets should remain untouched grain with maybe a woodsy stain to it, others believe cabinets should be a bold expression of personality. We tend to fall in the middle and love both the look of natural wood finished in a variety of stains and also love the look of vibrant colors.

This Fall season, we suggest you take a page out of nature’s book and bring both the detail and vibrancy of the colorful leaves to add some warmth to your kitchen with one of these heartwarming kitchen cabinet stains.

Warm Dark Grey

While grey has really taken over the interior paint world, too much grey can become boring and cold. Mix it up with a warm, grey stain over your kitchen cabinets that still reveals the wood’s natural graining. This hue pairs nicely with modern stainless steel accents and appliances and works in a variety of kitchen style. Enjoy the versatility of grey without sacrificing warmth and detail.

Deep Red

Make a bold statement with red-stained cabinets. If red belongs anywhere in the home, it belongs in the kitchen. This vibrant color delivers a robust, flavorful hue that emulates red peppers, cranberries, plump tomatoes, or a family-secret spaghetti sauce recipe. However, as a dominating color, red does best in kitchens with minimal adornment and little natural light.

Ebony

Join the dark side with black painted and stained kitchen cabinets. Both handsome and elegant, this darker hue is a bold departure from the classic all-white kitchen while delivering a similarly timeless style. Either go all-black with all-black cabinets and walls or go with a more a tuxedo style by pairing black cabinets with white countertops, floors, and maybe even white upper cabinets.

Beige

While you may have thought grey kicked beige to the curb, the truth is beige is still a lovely neutral color that pairs nicely with wood-stained cabinets. As things usually go in the design world, trends tend to circle back around after a short while. After all the craze with Benjamin Moore’s cool greys died down (though they’re beautiful), people started wanting their home’s warmth back. Beige is a great option for lighter kitchens that don’t want a full-white kitchen but still want to remain on the lighter, warmer side.
