WiFi Connect Smart Wall Ovens

"Ok, Google," I said to my Android mobile phone. "Preheat my oven to 350 degrees." I'm ten minutes from home and about to leave the grocery store with tonight's dinner. Instead of having to wait until after I park my car, load up the groceries, and go through all the family member greetings, I can knock preheating out on my drive home. Now that most of my appliances are connected directly to my smartphone, life just got a little easier for me. Most appliance manufacturers have focused on the "connected home," also known as smart appliances, with home connectivity so the consumer can control and manage their appliances from the comfort of their couch or the convenience of a grocery store.
Generally, Bosch, GE, Jenn-Air, Kitchen-Aid, LG, Samsung, Thermador, Whirlpool and Wolf wifi connectivity have much of the same features. They all have partnered with companies like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Nest, and all have an app to help with managing the appliances in your home.
Connected features let you send cooking instructions to the oven from your smartphone, control your kitchen with voice commands through a smart home assistant, or skip preheating. You can control your kitchen no matter what you’ve got on your hands with simple voice commands using the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
You don't need to be an expert to connect your new appliance. Simply open the manufacturer's app and add your appliance and follow the guided experience to get up and running quickly. The app will help get immediate support for quick solutions by using your smartphone or tablet to access troubleshooting videos.
One of our favorite apps is The Yummly Guided Cooking app. It makes meal prep easier by helping you answer the question “what’s for dinner?” before it’s even asked. Recipes in the Yummly app include step-by-step video tutorials that provide the extra assistance you need on busy days.
